Free Demo of xTuple ERP

Our free hosted demo lets you sample the advanced features we offer in our top-tier commercial product, xTuple ERP Manufacturing Edition. We'll set up an account for you and host the database on our server, and you'll download the client software to access your account.

Get xTuple ERP

xTuple ERP PostBooks Edition is available for free download at our SourceForge.net project page. Users of our commercial editions can download software at xTuple.org.

  • PostBooks Installers
    Automated installers are available for PostBooks on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can download the installers from the PostBooks project pages on SourceForge. The installers are perfect for users interested in demo-ing the product. When you run the installer, everything is handled for you:
    • Installs (and starts) PostrgreSQL
    • Loads a demo PostBooks database
    • Installs the PostBooks client

    Enterprise users should not rely on the installer for their production systems. Instead, install production databases manually as described in this document. The reason for this is that the installers make certain assumptions which may not be recommended for production environments.
     

  • xTuple ERP Client (For DEMO users)
    Beginning with version 3.2.2, we're distributing the xTuple client as part of the full installer package. You'll only need the xTuple client to access the Hosted Demo, so you may choose not to install the database and other components if you don't want them.
     
  • Commercial Software (Standard and Manufacturing Editions)
    The full, commercial xTuple ERP is available on xTuple.org for partners and customers only. Please note: Users of this area of the website agree to be bound by the xTuple End User License Agreement. Note: the client software is the same as what's available at SourceForge. The only thing that's different here is the databases.
     
  • All Free Downloads
    There are many other files available at the SourceForge project site, including help docs, CSVImp, XML Import, API docs, and a VM for Ubuntu.

New xTuple Marketplace: The xChange

OpenRPT

OpenRPT, is free report-writer software. It is included with all versions of xTuple ERP, but you can also download OpenRPT for free at our Sourceforge project site. The Solutions section has more information about OpenRPT.

xTuple Updater

The Updater for xTuple ERP (PostBooks, Standard Edition, and Manufacturing Edition) is an application that enables you to update your database from one release to the next, to upgrade from one xTuple ERP edition to another, such as from PostBooks to Manufacturing Edition, and to load supplements developed by third parties into your xTuple database.

An update Package is a collection of files bundled together into .gz files. The Updater reads and processes this package of files in order to update the database.

To update xTuple ERP you will need both the Updater application and the appropriate update Package.

  • Getting the Updater
    To get the Updater application, go to the SourceForge downloads page for PostBooks and click on the version for your OS.
     
  • Getting the update Packages
    • If you use PostBooks, get the update packages from the databases section of the SourceForge downloads page for PostBooks. The filename will show the number of the version you are updating from and to (eg. "pb3102to320.gz")
    • If you are an OpenMFG or Standard Edition user, go to the xChange, which shows a list of releases and, for each release, a collection of sample database backups and update packages.
