Anil Cherian of SDG Consulting Inc. co-hosts a half-day technology event on September 22, 2017 — the xTuple Roadshow — featuring a case study presented by Good-Lite Company. Located in Elgin, Illinois, Good-Lite traces its roots back to 1930, manufacturing the finest line of hand-held screening/testing equipment and charts ensuring a lifetime of good sight. The company will share how xTuple solutions helped them grow their business by meeting customer demand more efficiently.
Case Study: Innovative management software solutions for Mac-based business environment
Five years ago, Tim Collins, Good-Lite Company’s information technology manager, was looking for a solution to his problem: hitting the proverbial “brick wall” of technology. Good-Lite badly needed to replace their outdated business system which they had simply outgrown.
While searching online for new cost-effective enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for their Mac operating business environment, Collins found open source ERP xTuple. When he asked his local Apple store in Schaumburg, Illinois, for advice, the business development team also recommended xTuple. He was able to test a full version of xTuple open source business software before committing his company’s financial and IT resources “unlike the other commercial vendors,” said Collins.
During the Roadshow, xTuple's team of business technology experts will engage with both experienced and first-time visitors, and share best practices of their most successful customers, including Good-Lite. Collins promises to deliver “a walk-through of what I went through before hitting the promised land.”
“xTuple is a flexible and modular platform that small and mid-size companies can leverage to streamline and grow their business profitably,” states Anil Cherian from SDG Consulting. “Many of the features available within xTuple would cost much more in competing systems. A rich feature set, cost-effective pricing and overall open nature make xTuple a good choice for organizations like Good-Lite that are looking for an upper hand in today's hyper-competitive marketplace.”
SDG has worked closely with Good-Lite to implement and service xTuple ERP package.
